Bring home an essence of Odisha with a beautiful painting of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra painted on a coconut outer shell. The painting is done in Odisha’s traditional Pattachitra artform style.

An ancient and traditional art form, Pattachitra runs through generations. The Handicraft is practiced in a traditionally set age-old process. Natural colours extracted from various minerals are used on hand-made cloth canvas, to paint the tales of Lord Krishna and Jagannath. It is an exquisite and incredible art form with intricate detailing. Canvas preparation is a long process and begins with rubbing tamarind paste on pieces of cotton cloth. After it dries, the surface is smoothened, and a paste of conch shell/limestone powder is applied on it to give a white colour. A series of steps are followed to paint on the prepared canvas.
